CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF FERNANDEZ!

It is easy to love the sea when it comes to vacations at the beach, when we walk on the sand or splash in the water with family or friends. The hard part is to make sure that our waste does not contaminate it, that our investments do not invade it and that public policies really protect it.

Rogelio Fernandez, CEO and founder of Fernandez understood perfectly the importance of taking care of our marine resources and respecting their origin. That is why in 1993, with a lot of effort and hard work, he started a small family business in Catacaos, Piura, to process seafood, squid, shrimp and squid to provide raw material to exporters and thus take the best of our Peruvian sea to other parts of the world.

Year after year, Fernandez has achieved great milestones. In 2012, the first export of squid to Panama was made thanks to its presence in commercial and international fairs, which allowed it to close new deals and thus quadruple the number of its exports.

By 2016, after 23 years of hard work, Fernandez manages to consolidate as a multinational company thanks to alliances with strategic partners. Likewise, we were able to implement two additional plants.

In 2018 we had the opportunity to expand our export destinations to Brazil and by 2020 additional plants were implemented and the main Fernandez plant was enhanced.

Year after year we have been concerned about achieving excellence to guarantee the quality of our products, work that has allowed us to win important recognitions such as the Business Alliance for Secure Commerce that ensures safe trade between international companies and HACCP certification that ensures the food safety of our products and at the same time certifies us as a multi-destination company, allowing us to take part of our Peruvian sea to the whole world.

This June 2023 we celebrate our first 30 years, and we are very proud of all the achievements we have obtained over the years thanks to the team behind each of our products, all highly qualified and committed to our philosophy.

We are sure that new challenges are ahead for our company, but at the same time we are excited to discover what goals we will continue to achieve.
